Not filling

The good thing about a toilet is that they all generally have the same parts. You have a trip lever, fill valve, flush valve, flapper, and a toilet tank bulb kit. This enables us to carry all five of those different parts for different types of toilets.

When we get called for a toilet repair, we first perform the home plumbing safety evaluation and determine what part needs to be changed. Sometimes it’s as easy as just changing a flapper! If the toilet is old and you’re insistent on not replacing it, then we can take the whole tank off the toilet and rebuild it. Every job is a little different, but we’re well equipped to handle whatever comes our way.

Not flushing
All the parts in the tank are what make the toilet flush. In an older toilet, you might put all brand-new parts in, but if the toilet base is full of calcium and magnesium, the water draining out of that tank when you flush can’t go through the bowl as fast as it should. So, the base works hand in hand with the tank. A lot of times, the fix for this is simply replacing the entire toilet and starting fresh with another 10-15 years of perfect behavior.
Benefits That Homeowners Get From Upgrading to a Modern, Water-Saving Toilet

It depends largely on the brand of toilet you install.

The best brands will save you time, money, and frustration, as well as last significantly longer than something of lesser quality. Remember to always pair a quality toilet with a quality installation. If those two things don’t match, you won’t see nearly as much success.

How a Faulty Toilet Increases Water Bills

Even something as simple as a leaking flapper can waste a ton of water. For example, you’re lying in bed, your toilet just clutches. You can hear it filling up, but it doesn’t really flush. It just fills up. We call that phantom flushing.

What’s happening is that you’re losing water through the flapper. It might not seem like a lot, but if your toilet is dripping 24 hours a day for a month at a time… that adds up to a lot of drips.

We solve by beginning with a home plumbing evaluation. The first step is to go through the house, and we put dye in all your toilet tanks. We remove the toilet lid and put blue dye in the tank. After 10 or 15 minutes, we’ll be able to revisit each toilet and look in the bowl. If there’s no dye, then we know that one doesn’t have a leak. However, if that toilet is leaking anywhere in that tank, the blue dye will come through, and then we’ll have our starting point.
